Gary Stone took the early lead on Tuesday in ending Day 1 of Group A, top, after winning four of his five matches, as the third week of Phase 4 at the Online Darts Live League commenced.
Week 2 of Phase 4 saw Conan Whitehead seal his place in Champions Week, in defeating Josh Payne in the final, with David Pallett winning the 3rd place playoff.
Scotland’s Stone, made his return to the Live League in topping Group A on Day 1, as he recorded victories over Steve Brown, Andy Jenkins, Robert Rickwood and Jarred Cole, with his only defeat coming against Martin Adams.
Elsewhere, Jarred Cole also ended the day on 8 points and the same leg difference as Stone, but sits in 2nd due to the pair’s head-to-head statistic, with Martin Adams also ending on 8 points as he sits in 3rd. The remaining three players all sit on 2 points each, with Andy Jenkins sitting in 4th with a higher leg difference between the trio.
Online Darts Live League continues on Wednesday with the six players returning on the final day of Group A, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Stone leading the way thus far. Players who finish in places 2-6 will be split into two groups in Thursday and Friday’s play with Afternoon and Evening sessions taking place on both days, as well as new players entering the fray. Play will begin at 9:30 BST on Wednesday and will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
