[For] The World Masters itself, we had no fewer than 49 (yes, forty-nine!) Americans in action!

A selection Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, and even Essex players joined to make it a very decent line-up.

Beau Greaves dominated many weekend headlines, whilst after a wait of 16 years, when a certain MVG claimed the crown, the Men’s Winmau World Master is a Dutchman.

Pratnemer won his second ranking title of the year and fifth overall, in the Men’s World Open, coming through a bumper field of 358 players and beating Leung in the final.

The World Champion won her round-robin group without dropping a leg and she continued the trend on day two, winning all four knockout games to nil to reach the semi-finals.

... Qthe last Dutch winner of the Winmau World Masters was Michael van Gerwen in 2006.

World Champion Neil Duff is also out after being outplayed by current WDF World No.1 Jelle Klaasen.
