Ahead of the visit to Leeds' First Direct Arena, 32-year-old Dobey took part in Wednesday's Bullseye Maths session

There was plenty of extra excitement generated by the £100,000 prize on offer last year and we wanted to ensure the same buzz this year.

The annual Tribute and Memorial Dart Competitions were once again hosted, and sponsored by the Academy club, in aid of the Heart of darts charity after an absence of 2 years due to covid.

Betfred donated £50 per 180 scored throughout the nine days of action, with the World Matchplay featuring a record total of 367 maximum scores to trigger a £10,000 charity bonus.

Previous beneficiaries include Parkinson's UK and The Stroke Association (As Pictured) - with almost £100,000 being donated to the two charities across the past three years of the Betfred World Matchplay.
