World Championship

The mere fact that a complete WDF year with a World Championship, and now a World Masters, under their belt has been delivered post-Covid, can only be good for the global reach of darts...

The World Champion won her round-robin group without dropping a leg and she continued the trend on day two, winning all four knockout games to nil to reach the semi-finals.

Agreement has been reached for the WDF World Championships to be held at the Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green for 2023, 2024 and 2025.

The same weekend, saw 3 Dutch quarter-finalists at the PDC Austrian Darts Open! MVG beat DVD, and Danny Noppert impressed with a 6-1 win over Joe Cullen.

This year the event seemed to come into its own as the days progressed, crowds increased and the players performed on that infamous Lakeside stage. 

There's still a lot of work to be done before I go back and defend it, I go to Australia to the Australian open with my invite to as well as the Pacific Masters.”

Would you like to see WDF players invited to the Grand Slam later in the year to maintain the initial tradition of that tournament?

Beau and Arrow also recorded the highest average of anyone on the final day, winning with the third highest recorded by a woman on the Lakeside stage hitting a 92.05 average.
