The Great Gadsby: Dale Sees Off Quality Field in Riply Christmas Open

Red Dragon Darts

The 12th Annual Ripley Elite Darts Singles League Christmas Open saw the current Premier Division leader walk away with the title and £350 in prize money after playing fantastic darts all day.

Dale Gadsby defeated some high-quality players along the way including our own Colin Osborne and seeing off Yorkshire ‘A’ team player Carl Wilkinson 5-1 in a fantastic display in the final.

There was a slightly reduced field than normal with the dreaded flu, train strikes other competitions locally which meant the numbers were lower than normal but the standard was as ever first class.

Two other REDSL greats Keith Lodge and Andrew Houghton lost in the semi-finals with Henry Coates, Callum Goffin, Eddie Lovely and Gary Burch all losing in the quarter-finals.

The £50 highest checkout prize was won by PDC professional Eddie Lovely. A great day was had by all who attended ‘come hell or high water’. A big shout out to all that helped especially Lee Arkwright, Jack Kerr and Ant Parry who did have a worthwhile day winning the £100 football card raffle.
