Josh Payne was victorious on Saturday as he crowned the winner of Week 4 at the Online Darts Live League, after defeating Nick Kenny in the final to secure a place in Champions Week, with Andy Hamilton also advancing in winning the 3rd place playoff.
Payne, who entered the finale having won Group A earlier in the week, won just one of his group phase matches, as he defeated Nick Kenny, before losing to Colin Osborne. Payne then advanced to the Semi Finals, where he took on Ciaran Teehan, and came out a 4-2 victor to book his place in the final and a guaranteed spot at Champions Week, no matter the outcome of the decider.
In the final, Payne took on Nick Kenny for the second time on the night, and once again, Payne defeated the Welshman, this time with a 4-1 victory to take the Week 4 crown heading into Champions Week at the Online Darts Live League.
Elsewhere, beaten Semi Finalists Andy Hamilton and Ciaran Teehan competed in a 3rd place playoff, with the winner joining Payne and Kenny in Champions Week. Hamilton was victorious in defeating Teehan 4-3, to move through to Champions Week for the first time.
Online Darts Live League returns on Tuesday with Champions Week commencing with the first of two days of Group A, with the field to be announced in due course. Play will commence from 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
