Jim McEwan was crowned the winner of the Champion of Champions week at the Online Darts Live League on Saturday, after defeating Conor Heneghan 4-2 in the final, to end a perfect week, whilst Nine Dart star Graham Usher won the 3rd Place Playoff along the way.
McEwan, who entered the finale having finished top of Group A earlier in the week, won just one of his group phase matches, as he defeated Dan Read, before losing to Josh Payne. Fortunately for McEwan, his leg difference sealed him a place in the Semi Finals, where he came up against Graham Usher, and the Scotsman whitewashed ‘The Gambler’ 4-0 to book his place in the decider.
In the final, McEwan took on Conor Heneghan for the first time during the week, and experience got the better, with the Scottish thrower sealing the win with a 105 checkout and a 4-2 victory to take the crown and pick up the £6,000 first prize.
Online Darts Live League returns on Monday with the start of Phase 5 commencing with the first of three days of Group A, with the field to be announced in due course. Play will commence from 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
