Sam Spivey and Chas Barstow took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective darts groups, top, as they look to join David Evans in Saturday’s Finale at the MODUS Super Series.
Spivey, who last appeared at the Super Series back in June, made a perfect return by taking the early lead in Group C after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as he recorded victories against Kai Fan Leung, Panagiotis Chrysospathis, Benjamin McClelland, Benito Van de Pas and Pete Hughes, to sit on a maximum 10 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, Pete Hughes and Benito Van de Pas ended the day 2nd and 3rd respectively on 6 points each, whilst Panagiotis Chrysospathis sits in 4th on 4 points, with Benjamin McClelland and Kai Fan Leung sitting 5th and 6th on 2 points each.
In Group B, Chas Barstow took the early lead after winning three of his four matches on Thursday Evening, as he recorded victories against Henry Cooper, Keegan Brown and Steve Green, with his only defeat coming against Richie Howson, to sit on 6 points from a possible 8 thus far.

Elsewhere, three players in Richie Howson, Henry Cooper and Steve Green ended the day 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively on 4 points each, with Keegan Brown sitting bottom on 2 points.
The Modus Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join David Evans in Saturday’s Finale, with Spivey and Barstow taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 1pm BST and Group B will commence from 10pm BST.
