Online Darts Live League Week 1 – Finals Night.
Robert Owen was victorious on Saturday in winning Week 1 of Stage 1 at the Online Darts Live League, to seal his place in Champions Week, after defeating David Pallett in the final, with Jelle Klaasen winning the 3rd Place Playoff.
Owen, who entered the finale having finished 1st in Group B on Thursday and Friday, won just one of his group phase matches, in defeating Arron Monk, before losing to Colin Osborne. The Welshman eventually made it through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Jelle Klaasen and came out a 4-1 victor over ‘The Cobra’ to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Owen took on David Pallett, who whitewashed Colin Osborne in the last four, and the pair of Former UK Open Semi Finalists battled it out, but it was Owen who was victorious in a last leg decider to defeat Pallett and become the first player through to Champions Week later in the year.
Online Darts Live League returns on Monday with Week 2 of Stage 1 commencing with the first of three days of Group A, with the field to be confirmed in due course.
Play will commence from 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
