Jim McEwan took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day 1 of Group A, top, after winning all five of his matches, with the fourth week of Stage 1 commencing at the Online Darts Live League.
McEwan, who’s been a regular fixture at the Live League throughout 2022, kicked off his Group A campaign by completing a clean sweep, winning five matches from five, as he recorded victories over Gary Stone, Matthew Edgar, and Chris Gilliland, Matthew Dennant and Josh Payne.
Elsewhere, Payne ended the day in 2nd on 8 points, whilst three players in Gilliland, Stone and Dennant all sit on 4 points each, with Gilliland sitting in 3rd with a higher leg difference between the trio, as Matthew Edgar sits bottom on 0 points, having suffered five defeats from five.
Online Darts Live League continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with McEwan leading the way thus far. Play will begin at 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
