Nathan Girvan took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day 1 of Group A, top, after winning three of his five matches, with the ninth week of Stage 1 commencing at the Modus Super Series.
Scotland’s Girvan, who was a regular fixture throughout the Live League era, made his first appearance in the Super Series by taking the early lead, as he won three matches from five, by recording victories over Alec Small, Jamie Kelling and Sebastian Bialecki, with defeats coming against Stefan Bellmont and Danny Lauby.
Elsewhere, Sebastian Bialecki and Danny Lauby both also ended the day on 6 points each, but sit behind Girvan on leg difference, with the three remaining players in Bellmont, Small and Kelling all sitting 4th, 5th and 6th respectively on 4 points each.
The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Girvan leading the way thus far. Play will begin at 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on Online Darts TV YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
