The Illinois weekend has significantly reshaped both World Championship races on the CDC Tour with just one block of events remaining. A superb effort from newcomer to the North American darts tour, Fred Krueger, threatens to supplant an established face of recent years.

American Darts Race
Fred Krueger has gone from one point behind Leonard Gates to a commanding 21-point lead. His third title in five events, combined with Gates’ early exits, has put “Soulger” in a difficult position. Gates will almost certainly need a title or two deep runs in the final block if he is to keep his Alexandra Palace hopes alive. Alex Spellman sits third, 32 points off the lead after his Sunday victory.
Canadian Darts Race
Brayden Hall still leads, but his advantage has been cut dramatically. Kiley Edmunds produced another strong weekend (two semi-finals and a quarter-final) and has reduced Hall’s lead from 14.5 points to just 6.5. Jason Roker remains in third, 15.5 points off the top.
Continental Cup Darts
Joe Chaney, Jeremiah Millar and Kevin Luke all made significant strides toward the top 24 that will qualify for the Continental Cup in Newfoundland (6–7 November). A place at that event still carries a route to the World Championship.
The final block of CDC Tour events takes place in Ontario on 17–18 October, where the two World Championship spots will be decided.
