UNDISPUTED – War in Wolverhampton

Red Dragon Darts

Another night of UNDISPUTED darting drama unfolds in Wolverhampton this Friday night. Perhaps the best bill so far with the European and English belts on the line, alongside some intriguing challenge matches.

This time the event will be hosted at the Cleveland Arms on the eve of the Grand Slam of Darts. The Cleveland is a superb darts and sporting entertainment venue and has close associations with darts players and events across the area.

European Title Rematch

Kevin Painter v James Richardson

The two men in question faced off back in July in the neutral territory of Bristol, this following James’ successful defence in the bear pit up in Scotland.  Kevin used his experience and edged out Ruthless to seize his belt with a 10-8 victory.

James was an active champion with his win seeminlg to start a fine career spell. He has called for an immediate rematch:

“Got lucky last time and lightening does not strike twice”.

English Title Belt

Scott Marsh v Adam Atkinson

(Sponsor: Double Tops Darting Designs)

Scott Marsh was last year’s breakthrough man and was on superb form for much of 2021. He strongly won his belt from Darryl Fitton in Rochdale but he will be pushed all the way by ‘The Poolie’, Adam Atkinson.

A subdued year on the WDF tour this time for Scott, and perhaps in general. Meanwhile, Adam is generating a lot of headlines and attention. He was the strongest overall in the ADC’s Winmau Championship Tour winning two events.

Many are tipping this to be a thriller. If Atkinson can reproduce his best 2022 form Scotty will be forced to recapture his own brilliant best.

Reece Colley v Chris Wickenden – Challenge Match brought to you by Online Darts

British Open Champion Colley vs Amateur Award winner Wickenden ( Above, right) had a superb late 2021 and first half of this year. Despite cooling down in recent months Pugs will be determined to claim bragging rights here.

The best of 11 format and considerable local support could make this the hidden gem of the evening.

Shaun Matthews v Karl Coleman

Sponsor:Bar 501

Shaun Matthews is courageously returning to the bill of UNDISPUTED for the first time since his 7-2 bashing from Dave Prins belt match-up last year.  Coleman meanwhile is making a first appearance on the bill and will hope to translate his ADC events fro onto the main stage

Their recent meeting was nicked by Coleman in a last-leg drama and this one might also get a little spicy.

Raymond Marshall v Charlie Symons

Sponsor: CSD

Raymond has shone on the ADC tour and in Open events and is dangerous regardless of the fame or form of his opponent

Charlie Symons, a fantastic youth talent, has stalled in recent times and will be looking to regain momentum with a big win in front of a local crowd being the aim. It will be key for the younger man to get a good start…

All-in-all a superb night’s tungsten entertainment is in store here. If you are anywhere nr grab yourself a ticket and enjoy!
