Gian Van Veen took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day 1 of Group A, top, after winning all five of his matches, with Week 6 of Stage 2 commencing at the Modus Super Series.
Van Veen, who’s become a regular fixture at the Super Series in 2022, made his return by
taking the early lead in Group A, as he completed a clean sweep with five wins from five, by recorded victories over David Cameron, Gary Stone, Arjan Konterman, Josh Payne and Graham Usher, coming through four last leg deciders in the process.
Elsewhere, David Cameron ended the day in 2 nd on 8 points, Josh Payne in 3 rd on 6 points, Arjan Konterman in 4 th on 4 points, Gary Stone in 5 th on 2 points, but it was a disappointing day for Graham Usher, with the Runner-up from Stage 1 of Champions Week suffering five defeats from five.
The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Van Veen leading the way thus far.
