More Masters Shocks on Day Two

Red Dragon Darts

SHOCKS continue on day 2 of the Winmau World Masters from Assen. Legendary arrowsmith Paul Lim tumbled out earlier this morning at the first knockout stage. World Champion Neil Duff is also out after being outplayed by current WDF World No.1 Jelle Klaasen.

Klassen then progressed to the last 16 by brushing aside Scotland’s Greg Richie 5-0.

Duff’s sometimes pairs partner Barry Copeland excelled however and reached the L32 with a superb 101+ average in a whitewash of Leslie Beukers.

The Darts World coach’s long-time tip for future stardom Wesley Plaisier is again performing, firmly edging out the dangerous Chris Landman in a 5-4 thriller. He also will qualify for the Lakeside in 2023 if the run continues.

Day 2 sees play in both the WDF World Open and Winmau World Masters competitions.

The knockout stages will commence in the Men’s, Women’s and ParaDarts World Masters, with the Men’s tournament being played down to and including the Last 16 and the other two through to and including the quarter-finals.

The Boys and Girls World Open tournaments will also be played, with action going all the way through to and including the final.

Keep up with all the action by following the WDF on social media, seeing every match play out on DartConnect’s scoring system and watching live streamed matches via the WDFNDBTungsten Tales and WinmauTV YouTube channels.
