Richie Howson took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day 1 of Group A, top, after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as the Modus Super Series returned with the start of Week 9 of Stage 2.
Former PDC Tour Card Holder, Howson, who made his debut in the Super Series during 2022, made his return by taking the early lead in Group A, as he recorded victories over Peter Manley, Martyn Turner, Adam Mould, Darren Johnson and Andy Jenkins, dropping just six legs along the way.
Elsewhere, Martyn Turner ended the day in 2nd on 8 points, whilst three players in Adam Mould, Andy Jenkins and Darren Johnson sit 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively on 4 points each, as Former World Championship Finalist Peter Manley suffered five defeats from five on debut at the Super Series.
The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Howson leading the way thus far.
Play will begin at 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
