Kevin Painter took the early lead on Monday, in ending Day 1 of Group A, top, after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, with Week 10 of Stage 2 commencing at the Modus Super Series.
Last week saw the return of the Super Series for 2023, with ADC Qualifier Adam Mould winning the finale in Week 9 to pick up the £5,000 1st prize and seal his place in Champions Week, taking place next month.
Former World Championship Finalist, Painter, made his return to the Super Series by taking the early lead in Group A, after winning all five of his matches, as he recorded victories over Dave Prins, David Davies, Mike Symes, Barrie Bates and Matt Clark.
Elsewhere, Dave Prins and Matt Clark ended the day 2nd and 3rd respectively overall on 6 points each, with David Davies sitting in 4th on 4 points, as Barrie Bates and Mike Symes sit joint bottom on 2 points each, heading into Day 2.
The Modus Super Series continues on Tuesday with the six players returning, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Painter leading the way thus far. Play will begin at 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
