Painter Completes Qualifying Picture

Kevin Painter secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after winning four of his five matches to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C at the Modus Super Series.

Painter, who entered Wednesday’s play on 18 points from the opening two days of Group A, won four matches from five for the 2^nd day in a row as he topped the group overall, by recording victories over Barrie Bates, Mike Symes, David Davies and Matt Clark, with his only defeat coming against Dave Prins, to end on 26 points from a possible 30.

Elsewhere, Dave Prins and Matt Clark will compete in Group B on Thursday and Friday evening, after the duo finished 2^nd and 3^rd respectively overall on 20 points each, and will be joined by Paul Hogan, Colin Monk and Mike Norton.

David Davies, Mike Symes and Barrie Bates will compete in Group C, after the trio finished 4^th, 5^th and 6^th respectively, with Davies ending on 10 points, Symes on 8 points and Bates on 6 points. Joining them in Group C on Thursday and Friday morning will be 3x World Champion Martin Adams, as well as Kevin Dowling and Gary Stafford.

Modus Super Series continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 9:30am GMT and Group B commencing from 10pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
