Luke Littler was victorious on Saturday as he successfully defended his Champions Week crown at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Colin Osborne in the final and picking himself up a record £20,000 in prize money for the second time in his career.
Littler, who entered Saturday’s finale having won Group B on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning both of his group phase matches, as he defeated Colin Osborne and Reece Robinson to progress through to the Semi-Finals, where he then came up against Berry Van Peer, and from there, the teenage sensation defeated the Dutchman, 4-2, to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Littler came up against Colin Osborne for the second time on the night, who’d defeated Steve West in a last leg decider in the previous round, and once again, ‘TheNuke’ was victorious, as he defeated the former UK Open finalist, 4-2, to pick up the £20,000 top prize and become the first ever player to successfully defend their Champions Week title.
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week One of Stage Five, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field to be announced in due course.
Play will commence from 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the Modus
