Vincent van der Voort and Gian van Veen secured qualification spots for the upcoming German Darts Championship next month in Hildesheim, Germany.
The Dutch Destroyer secured his place at the final Euro Tour of the year with a 6-3 victory over recent UK Open Semi Finalist Adam Gawlas at the Barnsley Metrodome.
Development Tour Number 1 Gian van Veen included a 101.93 average to dispatch Bradley Brooks 6-3 in his opening match on Wednesday, before securing his spot at the 2023 German Darts Championship with a 6-2 victory over Spanish international Jose Justicia.
Vincent will return to action on the PDC European Tour, having last appeared at the Czech Darts Open back in May where he reached the Second Round in Prague.
Winmau player Florian Hempel also qualified for next month’s German Darts Championship with victories over Dutch international Jeffrey Sparidaans in the 1st Round, before beating recent Pro Tour Semi Finalist Mike de Decker 6-4 with an average of 96.72 in Barnsley.
The German sets up a reunion with his home fans at Halle 39, qualifying for 2 of the last 3 Euro Tours this year including the German Darts Open which starts this Friday in Jena with Peter “Snakebite” Wright coming in as defending champion.
Former World Youth Champion Arron Monk will feature at the 2023 German Darts Championship, including a win without reply from opponent Ross Montgomery in his first match of the day.
Mad Monk defeated Dutch international Danny van Trijp 6-4 to secure a place in his third European Tour of the year, since earning his tour card back in January.
Austrian Darts Open Semi Finalist Daryl Gurney secured qualification for his 11th Euro Tour of the year, with a 6-4 win over Rusty-Jake Rodriguez.
Superchin will feature this weekend at the German Darts Open, and already secured a First-Round place at the Hungarian Darts Trophy later this month in Budapest.
Former Grand Slam of Darts winner Scott Waites defeated Scott Williams and John O’Shea to qualify for the German Darts Championship at the Barnsley Metrodome, making it back-to-back Euro Tours to finish the year for Scotty 2 Hotty.
The Bradford born player will feature at the Hungarian Darts Trophy in over 2 weeks, with another player from Bradford defending his crown in Joe Cullen, who beat William O’Connor 8-2 in last year’s Final.
The PDC action will return this weekend for the 2023 German Darts Open, with today’s qualifiers Daryl Gurney, Gian van Veen and Florian all set to feature this weekend in Jena.
Defending champ Peter Wright will enter in Round 2 as the 12th Seed, having beaten Dimitri van den Bergh 8-6 in last year’s Final.
