David Evans secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C at the Modus Super Series.
Evans, who entered Wednesday’s play on 18 points from the opening two days of Group A, topped the group overall, after winning all five of his matches for the second time in three days.
The Manchester man recorded victories against Michael Huntley, Mario Robbe, Fallon Sherrock, Martin Adams and Stefan Schroder, to end on 28 points from a possible 30 and equalling the Super Series Group A winning points record, that is equally held by Scotland’s Jim McEwan and America’s Alex Spellman.
Elsewhere, Stefan Schroder and Fallon Sherrock will compete in Group B, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, with Schroder ending on 18 points and Sherrock on 14 points. The duo will be joined on Thursday and Friday Evening by Robert Thornton, Steve West and Danny Lauby.
Martin Adams, Mario Robbe and Michael Huntley will all compete in Group C, after finishing 4th, 5th and 6th respectively overall, with Adams ending on 12 points, Robbe on 10 points and Huntley on 8 points. The trio will be joined on Thursday and Friday Afternoon by Justin Hood, Reece Colley and Kevin Dowling.
Modus Super Series continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 1pm BST and Group B commencing from 10pm BST.
