Team 360 Want Wiltshire

14-year-old GoDartsPro backed player Cori Wiltshire has joined Winmau Team 360 on a 2-year deal, playing currently in the Amateur Darts Circuit Vault 4.0 Series.

“A big thank you to Robbie, Jamie, Steve (Brown), and his family for all the support and guidance throughout my darts journey so far. I cannot wait to start my Team 360 journey.”

Cori in September was victorious in the Dartasylum Level Up Series 3 Event 4 in Bristol, beating Collis Palmer 3-2 in the Final having beaten Zach Godber and Terry Britton in his Quarter Final and Semi Final clashes.

Wiltshire, beating Collis Palmer again this time 3-1 in the Final at Brown’s Bar. The 14-year-old topped the Level Up Summer Series 3 ahead of Paul Smith in 2nd by 3 points, winning in a 30-player field over 6 competitions between September and October.

Dad Craig who runs the Darts Academy at Brown’ Bar, spoke about the new deal with Team 360 and the impact it has had on the whole family.

“He really wanted it, his fight, determination, and work rate to come through some of the bad times he’s been through to get there, and to keep going is just surreal to me. The proudness it fills his whole family, his grandparents, me, his mum, and his siblings, it’s just a massive sense of pride.”

The youngster recently played in the Southwest Darts Open 6 at Dartasylum where he reached the Last 16, in what was an Amateur Darts Circuit sanctioned event. The new Team 360 signing lost out to eventual Semi Finalist Shorey Ayres after whitewashing Geoff Puddy in his opening match of the day 4-0.

“He’s only started playing competitively for 6 months, had his first JDC Foundation Tour at the end of April this year and wasn’t fantastic when I first bought him up. But something clicked and he’s just gone from strength to strength.”

Cori’s story for developing an interest for the sport came from his dad, who also was a darts player at pub level years ago.

“When he was born, I sort of put my darts down for a bit and I carried on watching it on the telly. When he turned 3 or 4, he was into football, he’s played football since Under 7s through to Under 14s and gave up earlier this year, to concentrate on darts.”

“A couple of Christmas’ ago I started watching the World Championship’s again down in the front room, and he came out of his bedroom and asked what is this? I said the World Championships and he didn’t realise it was a professional sport.”

“So we went away that Christmas to Butlins and they had dartboards there, he picked up a set and hasn’t put them down since.”

Wiltshire is also supported by GoDartsPro who continue to help many players around the world, with Connor Hopkins who signed a new evolution deal with Winmau also supported by the darts practise website.

GoDartsPro include over 80 training challenges to help improve your game, with Cori amongst the many other players within Winmau Team360 and the JDC, who continue to benefit from the customised practise and the virtual coach it provides.

JDC and Team 360 Chairman Steve Brown spoke on the new acquisition saying: “ in the competitions held on the Vault Series, I am confident he will continue to improve with the help of Team360.”

The English international continues to battle in the Vault 4.0 Southwest region, with the Top 32 on the Order of Merit securing places in the Southwest Finals Day where a spot on the MODUS Super Series is up for grabs.
