Neil Duff was victorious on Saturday as he crowned the winner of Week Eight at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Gary Stone in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 top prize.
Duff, who entered the finale having won Group A earlier in the week, began the night by winning just one of his group phase matches, as he defeated Andy Hamilton before suffering a defeat to Gary Stone.
However, the former WDF World Champion did progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Colin McGarry and from there, Duff defeated his fellow compatriot 4-3 to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Duff came up against Gary Stone for the second time on the night. The Scotsman had defeated Martin Adams in the last four, and this time ‘The Duffman’ got his revenge against ‘Stoney’, as he defeated the Scotsman 4-3 to seal his place in Champions Week and pick up the £5,000 weekly first prize.
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week Nine, as the first of three days of Group A commences, with the field including 4x Ladies World Champion Lisa Ashton.
Play will commence from 9:30am GMT and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
