The 2024 Bet MGM Premier League returns for Night 6 at the Brighton Centre, as the race for points continues on the South Coast.
Nathan Aspinall claimed his first Night win of the campaign last week in Exeter after beating Rob Cross 6-2 in the Final, moving into the Play Off Places with 8pts having been without a win after the opening three weeks.
Gerwyn Price won the Night the Brighton Centre in 2023 after defeating Michael Smith in the Final and will hope for similar fortunes on Thursday on his 39th Birthday.
The Iceman reached the Final on the opening Night in Cardiff where he defeated Nathan Aspinall and Rob Cross in the Quarter Finals and Semi’s, recording 100+ averages in both matches.
The Welshman sits 7th in the table but only 3 points of the Play Offs, and with over half of the league format still to play, there is plenty of time to get back in the race for the O2 Arena.
Price takes on World Champion Luke Humphries in the opening match, with Cool Hand Luke recently reaching the Final of the UK Open in Minehead.
The World Number 1 continued to show the threat he possesses in recent PDC Major competitions, reaching 4 of the last 5 major Finals, beating Stephen Bunting and Ricky Evans with only 4 legs dropped on Sunday.
Humphries also will know of the state of play in relation to the Play Off Race, with both him and Michael Smith sitting a point of Nathan Aspinall in 4th heading into Brighton.
Defending Champion Michael van Gerwen will hope for a bounce back on the South Coast after an early defeat to the World Champion last week in Exeter.
Mighty Mike will face hometown favourite Rob Cross in the second Quarter Final of the Night in Brighton, with Voltage coming into the contest on the back of a 109 average against Gerwyn Price last week.
The Green Machine sits 6 points clear at the top of the table having claimed a Hat-Trick of Night Wins in Berlin, Glasgow, and Newcastle, with 8 points keeping him clear in the Top 4 Race.
Peter Wright will also look to continue where he left of in the UK Open, having included an average over 101 in a 10-1 victory over Andrew Gilding in the 5th Round.
Snakebite has also reached the Semi Finals in two of the four Players Championship Events so far, whilst also including 6 180s and a 103+ score in his match with Luke Littler in Newcastle.
The 2017 Runner Up will face Michael Smith in the Final Quarter Final of the night, with the winner facing either 2nd placed Luke Littler or 4th placed Nathan Aspinall in the Semi Finals.
The Nuke produced the 2nd highest average of the UK Open but unfortunately came up against the highest (106.04), in his Quarter Final with Damon Heta on Sunday afternoon.
The action will start from 7pm at the Brighton Centre with World Number 1 Luke Humphries opening the action against Gerwyn Price, who will be looking to kickstart the Birthday celebrations on the South Coast.
