Lee Cocks was victorious on Sunday, in winning his maiden Challenge Tour title of his career, after defeating Wesley Plaisier in the final, as the second weekend of the PDC’s second tier tour season ended in Hildesheim.
Cocks, who’s furthest previois run on the Challenge Tour in the opening nine events of 2024 was to a Last 16, reached the final of Event 10 firstly by recording victories against Darryl Pilgrim, Nicolas Thuillier, Marcel Bos, James Welding, Adam Paxton, Mike Warburton and Derk Telnekes, to set up a clash with Plaisier.
The final saw Cocks dominate the entirety of the tie, as he rattled off five successive legs, which included a trio of 16 darters to seal a whitewash victory over his Dutch opponent and pick up a maiden PDC title, as well as the £2,500 top prize.
The PDC Winmau Challenge Tour returns between 7-9th June with Events 11-15 taking place at the Mattioli Arena, Leicester. All live scores and results will be viewed via tv.dartconnect.com.
The top two players from the final 2024 Challenge Tour Order of Merit will secure a PDC Tour Card for 2025/26 as well as a place at the 2024/25 Paddy Power World Darts Championship.
