Early MSS Leads For Womble and Big H

Jon Worsley and Harry Ward took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One top of their respective groups, as they look to join Harry Gregory in Saturday’s finale at the Modus Super Series.

Worsley, who last appeared at the Super Series back in January, made the return by taking the early lead in Group C, after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five.

The Womble recorded victories against James Richardson, Lee Cocks, John O’Shea, Martin Grearson and Jamie Atkins, to sit on a maximum 10 points from 10 thus far.

Elsewhere, John O’Shea ended the day in 2^nd on 8 points, whilst James Richardson and Martin Grearson sit 3^rd and 4^th respectively on 4 points each, with Jamie Atkins and Lee Cocks sitting 5^th and 6^th on 2 points each.

In Group B, Harry Ward took the early lead, after winning three of his four matches, as he recorded victories against Mark Dudbridge, Gilbert Van der Meijden and Ciaran Teehan, with his only defeat coming against Mike Gillet, to end the evening on 6 points from a possible 8.

Elsewhere, three players in Ciaran Teehan, Gilbert Van der Meijden and Mike Gillet ended the evening 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th overall on 4 points each, whilst Mark Dudbridge sits bottom on 2 points heading into the second and final session on Friday Night.

The Modus Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Harry Gregory in Saturday’s finale, with Worsley and Ward taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 1pm BST and Group B will commence from 10pm BST.
