Then There Were Twelve: WSDT Expand Champion of Champions

The World Seniors Darts Tour has today announced exciting changes to their popular Champion of Champions event for the 2025 hosting, which will once again be staged at Viva Ballroom in Blackpool.

The field will be increased to 12 players from the previous 8, with a third session added. The event will also move to Friday and Saturday rather than the previous Saturday and Sunday slots.

Holiday makers and devoted darts fans alike are sure to take advantage of seeing top quality darts and enjoying fabulous entertainment in an iconic atmosphere. The 2025 edition dates confirmed are Friday 21st at 7pm and Saturday 22nd at 1pm and 7pm.

This years event saw Phil Taylor’s final competitive Blackpool appearance and the hugely popular Richie ‘The Owl’ Howson finally break his stage/TV title duck in an emotional climax to a thrilling event.

We’ve enjoyed two great years in Blackpool and had sell out crowds, by expanding the event we are going to give more of our Seniors Players the chance to witness the special Viva Blackpool atmosphere
