Everpresents: The Dozen Darts Stars With Perfect Tour Card Records

Diamond Draws Competitions

Longevity within professional darts is among the sport’s most demanding accomplishments. While titles and rankings often dominate discussion, retaining a PDC Tour Card season after season requires an extraordinary degree of consistency, adaptability and resilience. As the 2026 campaign commences, only a select group of competitors can claim to have remained on the professional circuit without interruption since the Tour Card system was introduced in 2011.

Sixteen years after the Professional Darts Corporation fundamentally reshaped its qualification structure, just twelve players have preserved their Tour Card every single season. According to figures published by @dartingupdates on X, that distinguished cohort comprises Michael van Gerwen, James Wade, Gary Anderson, Dave Chisnall, Joe Cullen (main image), Michael Smith, Peter Wright, William O’Connor, Mickey Mansell, Brendan Dolan, Mensur Suljović and Ian White.

The list naturally features several of the most decorated competitors of the modern era. Van Gerwen established himself as one of the sport’s greatest champions, while Anderson, Wright, Wade and Smith all secured World Championship crowns alongside numerous televised major titles. Their sustained excellence has defined an era of professional darts.

Equally commendable, however, are those whose achievements have perhaps attracted less widespread recognition. Players such as William O’Connor, Mickey Mansell (featured above) and Brendan Dolan have successfully protected their professional status despite an increasingly competitive and international field. Their uninterrupted presence on the ProTour serves as compelling evidence of remarkable consistency across more than a decade and a half.

Immediately behind that elite group sit Raymond van Barneveld, Kim Huybrechts and Mervyn King, each having accumulated fifteen Tour Card seasons. Van Barneveld’s total would almost certainly be greater had he not surrendered his Tour Card following his temporary retirement at the conclusion of 2019 before returning successfully the following year. Consequently, only the 2020 campaign interrupts an otherwise continuous professional record.

King regained his Tour Card for the 2026 season after losing it at the end of 2024, while Huybrechts has remained an uninterrupted member of the professional circuit since earning his Tour Card in 2012.

Darts’ Next Generation Building Impressive Careers

Several members of the current generation continue to build similarly impressive records. Ross Smith, Daryl Gurney and Ricky Evans have now reached fourteen consecutive Tour Card seasons, with Gerwyn Price and Stephen Bunting following on thirteen. Jonny Clayton, Chris Dobey, Jermaine Wattimena and Dimitri Van den Bergh have each completed twelve uninterrupted years on the circuit.

Current world number one Luke Humphries has now amassed nine consecutive Tour Card seasons, illustrating the speed of his ascent through the professional ranks. Meanwhile, younger stars including Josh Rock, Gian van Veen and Luke Littler continue to establish their own long-term credentials. Should Littler retain his Tour Card without interruption, he would not be in a position to equal the existing benchmark of sixteen consecutive seasons until 2038.

Ultimately, these statistics highlight the exceptional demands of sustaining a career at the highest level. With standards on the PDC circuit continuing to escalate and new talent emerging annually through Q-School, maintaining professional status requires sustained excellence, physical durability and unwavering mental fortitude. The achievement of remaining on the Tour continuously since 2011 is therefore one of the most remarkable – and arguably underappreciated – accomplishments in contemporary darts.
