John Henderson was victorious on Saturday as he crowned the winner of Week Seven at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Jamie Atkins in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 top prize.
Henderson, who entered the finale having won Group A earlier in the week, began the night by winning just one of his two group phase matches, as he firstly suffered a defeat to Jamie Atkins, before defeating Aden Kirk to progress through to the Semi Finals.
cam cAt that stage, Henderson came up against Cam Crabtree and from there, the Scotsman defeated ‘Shazam’ in a last leg decider, 4-3, to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Henderson came up against Jamie Atkins for the second time on the night, who’d defeated Dutchman Danny Jansen in the last four, and this time, ‘The Highlander’ got his revenge, as he defeated Atkins 4-2 to seal a return to Champions Week as well as collecting the first prize.
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week Eight, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field including Former Champions Week winners in Jim McEwan and Scott Taylor.
