David Davies was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week 10 at the Modus Super Series, after defeating Neil Duff in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 top prize.
Davies, who entered the finale having won Group C on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning both of his group phase matches, as he defeated Reece Robinson and Niko Springer to progress through to the Semi Finals.
In the final four the Welshman came up against compatriot Richie Burnett and from there, Davies defeated ‘The Prince of Wales’ 4-2 to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Davies came up against Neil Duff, who’d defeated Niko Springer in the last four, and nothing separated the pair throughout the tie until Davies sealed the victory in a last leg decider at 4-3 to secure a place at Champions Week as well as collecting the £5,000 top prize.
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the start of Week 11, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field including former weekly winners in Jim Long and Conor Heneghan.
Play will commence from 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
