The first few days of the 2024 WDF Lakeside World Championships have seen plenty of tumbling seeds and some potentially superb stories beginning to take shape.
Former WDF World No.1 Brian Raman kicked off on Friday, November 29th with a victory over Dutch debutant Corne Groeneveld. Beau Greaves got her campaign underway with a convincing win on Tuesday.
Favourite for the men’s title, Jimmy van Schie, made his debut last night and looked very impressive averaging over 98. Meanwhile the remarkable Paul Lim has two wins under his belt as his fairytale return after 30 years gathers momentum.
Across 18 sessions and 10 days of darting drama, 84 players will have graced the iconic Lakeside stage as we crown the latest WDF World Champions across the Girls’, Boys’, Women’s and Men’s competitions.
Quarter-Final action in the Boys tournament begins on Thursday, with the semi-final lineups for all four World Championships being confirmed on a bumper Friday.
Saturday, 7th December, the first of two days broadcast live and uninterrupted on BLAZE, will be ‘Semi-Final Saturday’, with the finalists in the Girls’, Boys’, Women’s and Men’s tournaments being determined ahead of four World Champions being crowned on Sunday, 8th December.
