Jenson Walker was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Champions
Week at the Modus Super Series.
Darts latest teenage star defeated Sam Spivey in the final and picking himself up a bumper £20,000 in prize money.
Walker, who entered the finale having won Group C on Thursday and Friday, began the
night by winning both of his group phase matches, as he defeated David Davies and Sam Spivey to progress through to the Semi Finals.
In the final four he came up against Scott Campbell, and from there, Walker defeated the Scotsman, 4-3, to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Walker came up against Sam Spivey for the second time on the night, who’d defeated Welshman Derek Coulson in the last four, and once again, the 18-year-old got the better of his compatriot, this time winning 4-1.
The young Englishman claimed the Series 10 crown and became the second youngest winner of a Champions Week at the Super Series, following in the footsteps of two-time winner and current PDC World Champion Luke Littler.
The Modus Super Series returns on Monday with the third edition of Women’s Week, with
the first of three days of Group A commencing, with a field including Lisa Ashton, Trina Gulliver and Gemma Hayter.
Play will commence from 9:30am BST and will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
