German and Belgian Duos Lead International Pairs Darts

Daniel Klose & Paul Krohne and Andy Baetens & Brian Raman swept into the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Richie Burnett & Kurt Parry (Wales) in Saturday’s International Pairs Finale at the Modus Super Series darts. 

Team Germany of former PDC Tour Card Holders in Klose & Krohne took the early lead in Group C after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as they recorded victories against David Munyua & Peter Wachuiri (Kenya), Neil Duff & Richard McKee (Northern Ireland), Danny Van Trijp & Wesley Van Trijp (Netherlands), Conor Heneghan & John O’Shea (Ireland) and Iain Cash & Nicolas Thuillier (France), to sit on a maximum 10 points from a possible 10 thus far.  

Elsewhere, Team Netherlands & Team Ireland ended the day 2^nd and 3^rd respectively on 6 points each, whilst Team Kenya sit in 4^th on 4 points, with Team Northern Ireland & Team France sit 5^th and 6^th on 2 points each.

In Group B, Team Belgium of Baetens & Raman took the early lead after completing a clean sweep with four wins from four on Thursday Evening, as they recorded victories against Steve Beaton & Fallon Sherrock (England), Dawson Murschell & Jeff Smith (Canada), Scott Campbell & Jim McEwan (Scotland) and Danny Baggish & Danny Lauby (USA), to sit on a maximum 8 points from a possible 8 thus far.  

Elsewhere, Team USA ended the night in 2^nd on 6 points, whilst Team Canada, Team Scotland and Team England sit 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th respectively on 2 points each. 

The MODUS Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Team Wales in Saturday’s International Pairs Finale, with Klose & Krohne and Baetens & Raman taking the early lead thus far. Group C will commence from 1pm BST and Group B will commence from 10pm BST.
