Huntley Claims MODUS Super Series Darts Weekly Win

Diamond Draws Competitions

Michael Huntley was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week One at the MODUS Super Series darts, after defeating Mark Dudbridge in the final to secure a place in Champions Week and winning the weekly £5,000 first prize.

Mike, who entered the finale having finished 2nd in Group C on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning his solitary group phase match against Mark Dudbridge due to Danny Baggish’s withdrawal which sent him through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Conan Whitehead and from there, Huntley defeated ‘The Barbarian’ 4-1 to book his place in the final.

In the decider, Huntley came up against Mark Dudbridge for the second time on the night, who’d defeated Llew Bevan in the last four, and once again the Welshman got the better of ‘Flash’ as Huntley sealed a deciding leg victory to become the first player through to Champions Week of Series 14 as well as collecting the £5,000 top prize.

The Modus Super Series returns on Monday for the start of Week Two, with the first of three days of Group A commencing and the field including Former Weekly Winners in Neil Duff and Steve West.
