Greaves Completes Historic Euro Tour Qualification Double

Diamond Draws Competitions

Beau Greaves created further slices of history at Mattioli Arena in Leicester, as she became the first female player to qualify for a PDC Euro Tour event.

Greaves wasn’t satisfied with a single success though, as, like London buses, she made it a qualification double on the day, as she advanced to play at both the Hungarian Darts Trophy (ET11) and the Czech Darts Open (ET12).

Perhaps the biggest surprise was that it had taken ‘Beau & Arrow’ eleven attempts to make a continental event, but she made up for that in the East Midlands.

The Doncaster native had to come through four rounds to make ET11, averaging over a ton to open with a 6-4 win against Andy Boulton, and after further wins against Charlie Manby and Arno Merk, she qualified in some style, clocking 103.03 in a quality 6-4 success against Tom Bissell to clinch her Budapest place.

Greaves then backed that historic feat up by punching her ticket to Prague, seeing off Wesley Plaisier and Cor Dekker, before getting the better of Lukas Wenig in a nervy final-leg win as she made it a double celebration.

Elsewhere, Cristo Reyes once again proved he is the 2026 king of the qualifiers, with the Spaniard sensationally clinching his eighth and ninth Euro Tour appearances of the season.

Wins against Leon Weber and Carl Sneyd moved Reyes into the final round of ET11 qualification, and he saved his best for last, a 100.11 average helping seal a 6-1 win against Mickey Mansell.

The ET12 qualifier saw ‘The Spartan’ in ominous form, as he breezed to wins against Ryan Meikle and Tyler Thorpe for the loss of just one leg, before a sublime 107.36 average was too good for Owen Bates in another whitewash win. Reyes would need to go the distance to advance to Prague, a 102.43 average confirming a 6-5 win against Bradley Brooks.

Keane Barry was another double qualifier on the day, coming from 5-3 down to defeat Ryan Meikle to make Budapest, and a 6-4 win against Alexander Merkx gave the Irishman a much-needed double boost as he made ET12’s main draw.

The final player to make it a double was Connor Scutt, with ‘The Sniper’ eliminating Madars Razma in the final round of ET11 qualifying, and then averaging over 108 to deny Ricky Evans in ET12’s final hurdle.

ET11 will see debuts for Adam Leek and Samuel Price, as they made their way through the field, and Tom Sykes backed his recent semi-final in Slovakia by making Hungary.

There was no place in either event for Peter Wright, Raymond van Barneveld or Mike De Decker, as they crashed out of both events, while Dave Chisnall was ousted by Ricky Evans early on in ET12 qualifying.

The Hungarian Darts Trophy (ET11) will take place at the MVM Dome in Budapest from August 28-30, before the Czech Darts Open (ET12) is held at the PVA Expo in Prague from September 4-6.

ET11 Tour Card Holder Qualifiers: Keane Barry, Ritchie Edhouse, Tom Sykes, Maik Kuivenhoven, Adam Leek, Beau Greaves, James Hurrell, Connor Scutt, Samuel Price, Cristo Reyes.

ET12 Tour Card Holder Qualifiers: Rob Owen, Connor Scutt, Cristo Reyes, Beau Greaves, Jeffrey de Graaf, Stephen Burton, Kim Huybrechts, Callan Rydz, Keane Barry, Mario Vandenbogaerde.
