Ted Evetts and Scott Robertson took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One of their respective groups, top, as they look to join Andy Hamilton in Saturday’s Finale at the MODUS Super Series.
Evetts, who entered Group C having finished 5th in Group A earlier in the week, took the early lead after winning four of his five matches, as he recorded victories against Shane Ryan, Chris Wickenden, Stijn Deklerck and Mitch Minnie, with his only defeat coming against Kevin Burness, to sit on 8 points from a possible 10 thus far.
Elsewhere, Kevin Burness also ended the day on 8 points, but sits in 2nd behind Evetts on leg difference, whilst three players in Chris Wickenden, Mitch Minnie and Shane Ryan sit 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively on 4 points each, with Stijn Deklerck sitting bottom on 2 points.
In Group B, Scott Robertson took the early lead after completing a clean sweep with four wins from four on Thursday Evening, as he recorded victories against Alex Williams, Shaun Fox, Terry Nash and Jarred Cole, to sit on a maximum 8 points from a possible 8 thus far.
Elsewhere, Alex Williams ended the night in 2nd on 6 points, whilst Jarred Cole sits in 3rd on 4 points, Terry Nash in 4th on 2 points and Shaun Fox bottom on 0 points having suffered four straight defeats.
The Modus Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Andy Hamilton in Saturday’s Finale, with Evetts and Robertson taking the early lead thus far.
Group C will commence from 1pm BST and Group B will commence from 10pm BST. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Pluto TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
