The Winmau Championship (ADC) Tour North season comes to a head this weekend in Middlesborough, with events 9 to 12 closing out the campaign and settling the remaining qualification places on the North circuit.
There’s plenty riding on the outcome, as the top eight players on the North table at the end of the weekend will book their place at the Winmau Championship Global Final, held at the MODUS Live Lounge in Portsmouth with a £10,000 prize fund on offer.

Beyond that, the stakes climb further still. The top two players on the table also secure qualification for the ADC Global Championship live in Portsmouth in December, where a £150,000 prize fund awaits. It’s a route that turns a single weekend’s form in Middlesborough into a shot at one of the richest prizes in amateur darts.
At the top of the table, Daniel Ayres heads into the weekend in commanding form, sitting on 676 points and holding a lead of over 130 points on nearest challenger Steve Lennon (544). Lewis Pride occupies third on 435 with a sizeable gap back to David Summer in fourth on 270, meaning the two places at the top of the table up for grabs look close to settled barring a dramatic final weekend.
The real qualification battle is further down the table, where a cluster of players sit within striking distance of one another heading into the final four events.
Danny Lauby (185) and Gary Hayes (183) currently occupy the fifth and sixth spots, with Danny Trueman (176), Ryan Hogarth (153), William Borland (151) and Scott Winer (148) all packed tightly behind them.

With that group separated by little more than 35 points, a strong final weekend from any of them could reshape the qualification picture for finals day significantly.
