MODUS Super Series darts returned to the Live Lounge in Portsmouth on Monday for Week 7 of Series 15, with a strong international flavour in Group A as six players began their three-day push for a place on Saturday’s Finals Night.
The group brings together former PDC Tour Card holder Benito van de Pas, experienced MODUS campaigners Richie Howson, David Evans and Henry Cooper, plus international representatives Panagiotis Chrysospathis (Greece) and Kai Fan Leung (Hong Kong).
Early action on Day One saw Richie Howson edge a tight contest against David Evans 4–3. Howson’s victory put him top of the fledgling table on two points, while Evans sits second on zero after the opening match.
Evans still remained at the top, jointly with Kai Fan Leung of Group A at the end of play. He posted the highest average of the day (94.23) as he claimed four wins from five.
Meanwhile Hong Kong’s Leung (above) also finished with four victories to match him on eight points.
Richie Howson sits third on six points after a solid start that included an opening win over Evans.
Benito van de Pas is fourth on four points, with Henry Cooper and Panagiotis Chrysospathis both on two points at the foot of the table.
