Cole Seals Final Place After Late Surge

Jarred Cole secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after winning four of his five matches to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C at the Modus Super Series.

Cole, who entered Wednesday’s play on 12 points from the opening two days of Group A, won four matches from five to secure his place in Saturday’s finale, as he recorded victories over Andreas Toft-Jorgensen, Graham Hall, Keelan Kay and Neil Duff, with his only defeat coming against Alexander Merkx, to end on 20 points from a possible 30.

The group had been led by both Alexander Merkz and Neil Duff before ADC Global Belt holder Cole made his decisive move on Wednesday.

Elsewhere, Duff also ended on 20 points, but dramatically missed out on an automatic spot in Saturday’s finale on a head-to-head statistic between himself and Cole, and will compete in Group B, alongside Alexander Merkx, who finished 3^rd overall on 16 points. The duo will be joined by Mike Gillet, Robert Rickwood and Ryan Furness.

Graham Hall, Andreas Toft-Jorgensen and Keelan Kay will all compete in Group C, after finishing 4^th, 5^th and 6^th respectively, with Hall and Toft-Jorgensen ending on 12 points each and Kay on 10 points. The trio will be joined by Darren Johnson, Gary Blades and Sam Cankett.

Modus Super Series continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 9:30am GMT and Group B commencing from 10pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
