Jon Worsley secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, after winning three matches from five to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C at the Modus Super Series.
Worsley, who entered Wednesday’s play on 20 points from the opening two days of Group A, saw his 10-match unbeaten run come to an end, after winning just three of his five matches, as he recorded victories over Andy Hamilton, Alec Small and Shane McGuirk, with his two defeats coming against Steve Brown and David Evans, to end on 26 points from a possible 30 and booking his place into Saturday’s finale on his debut week at the Super Series.
Elsewhere, Andy Hamilton and Steve Brown will compete in Group B, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, with Hamilton ending on 20 points and Brown on 16 points. The duo will be joined on Thursday & Friday Evening by Chas Barstow, Keelan Kay and Aaron Beeney.
Shane McGuirk, Alec Small and David Evans will all compete in Group C, after finishing 4th, 5th and 6th respectively overall, with McGuirk ending on 12 points, whilst Small and Evans ended on 8 points each. The trio will be joined on Thursday & Friday Morning by Josh Richardson, Brett Claydon and Jordan Brooks.
Modus Super Series continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 9:30am GMT and Group B commencing from 10pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
