Matthew Dennant secured his place in Saturday’s finale on Wednesday, despite only winning two of his five matches to end his Group A campaign, top, as the field was confirmed for Groups B and C at the Modus Super Series.
Dennant, who entered Wednesday’s play on 16 points from the opening two days of Group A, won just two matches from five to top the group overall, as he recorded victories over Mike Warburton and Jack Wareing, with his three defeats coming in his first three matches of the day against Sebastian Bialecki, John Michael and Conor Heneghan, to finish on 20 points from a possible 30.
Elsewhere, Sebastian Bialecki and Conor Heneghan will compete in Group B, after the pair finished 2nd and 3rd respectively overall, both on 18 points, and will be joined on Thursday and Friday Evening by Alan Norris, Jamie Kelling and Trina Gulliver.
John Michael, Mike Warburton and Jack Wareing will all compete in Group C, after finishing 4th, 5th and 6th respectively overall, with Michael finishing on 18 points, narrowly missing out on a spot in Group B on leg difference, Warburton on 16 points and Wareing on 0 points, having suffered fifteen straight defeats.
The trio will be joined on Thursday and Friday Morning by Scott Baker, Reece Robinson and Steve Haggerty.
Modus Super Series continues on Thursday with Group C commencing from 9:30am GMT and Group B commencing from 10pm GMT. Play will be streamed live on the Modus YouTube channel, Sporty Stuff TV or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
