Clinical Cocks Takes Early Lead

Lee Cocks claimed 4 wins from 5 on the opening day of Week 6 at the MODUS Super Series, as Group A commenced at the Live Lounge.

The Englishman followed up with a 4-2 win over Poland’s Sebastian Bialecki, where he included 2 180s whilst missing just 3 darts at double.

ADC Qualifier Tommy Lishman proved a tough test for Cocks after entering a 3-1 lead, but 3 legs on the spin from the Winmau Challenge Tour 10 winner saw him keep his unbeaten run intact.

Lee whitewashed debutant Pontus Danielsson for his fourth win, but was denied a perfect day by Robert Thornton, with the Red Dragon player averaging 96.72 in a 4-2 success.

“The Thorn” and David Evans currently sit 2nd and 3rd in the table after both picked up 3 wins on Monday in Portsmouth, with “Stretch” ahead on legs difference.

Sebastian Bialecki won 2 matches on the opening day of action at the Live Lounge, whilst Yorkshire and Humber player Tommy Lishman also picked up 4 points on Monday but sits behind Bialecki in 5th, on legs difference.

Sweden’s Pontus Danielsson won the one match in his debut session in Portsmouth, defeating Sebastian 4-2 with just 2 missed darts on the outer ring.

Day 2 of Week 6 commences at 9:30am on Tuesday, as Group A continues and the race to qualify for Saturday’s Finals Night intensifies.
