The 2024 WDF World Championship is upon us, with ten days of action getting underway later today at Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green. With four World titles available over the next 10 days.

The action gets underway on November 29, and runs until December 8. The controversial decision to move the event, and prevent clashes with the main PDC events, seems to have been quickly accepted.

The top seed this time around is Danny Porter, who becomes the first Australian WDF World number one heading to Lakeside since 2001 World Champion Tony David.

Porter has five titles on his CV this season, but all have come Down Under, and he begins his campaign in round two against Francois Schweyen or Michael Cassar.

Many feel that the dangerman in the tournament and real favourite for the £50,000 first prize is Jimmy van Schie, who enters as second seed after a superb 2024. ‘The Dutch Sequoia’…..
