The Cobra Bites Back

Play the Pro Darts Scorer

Jelle Klaasen reached his first PDC Pro Tour final since 2017 on Monday. The dutchman fell at the final hurdle as Chris Dobey picked up his first PDC title of the year on Monday, after defeating Klaasen 8-4 in the final of Players Championship Three.

The second double header of the 2025 PDC Pro Tour season commenced in Rosmalen, Netherlands.

Dobey, who was a beaten finalist in Players Championship Two last Tuesday, went a step further six days later, as he reached the final firstly by recording victories against Dylan Slevin, Rob Owen, Owen Bates, Wessel Nijman, Krzysztof Ratajski and Callan Rydz, to set up a clash with Klaasen.

The final began with Dobey racing into a 2-0 lead, with winning legs coming in a total of 24 darts, before Klaasen halved the deficit in Leg Three with a 15 darter. The tie then saw a run of five straight holds of throw between the pair, which ended with Dobey breaking ‘The Cobra’s’ throw in Leg Nine with a 15 darter to move 6-3 ahead and within two of victory. The match then saw three consecutive 15 dart legs between the duo, as Dobey sealed the victory in Leg 12 to pick up yet another PDC title as well as the £15,000 top prize.

Klaasen, who won back his PDC Tour Card at Qualifying School last January, produced a landmark run by reaching his first Pro Tour Final since 2017, as he recorded victories on the day against Ryan Joyce, Kevin Burness, Tytus Kanik, Mickey Mansell, Rob Cross and Nick Kenny, before being denied by Dobey.

Elsewhere, there were Quarter Final runs for PC2 winner Gerwyn Price and Dutchman Jermaine Wattimena, whilst the likes of Premier League stars in Michael Van Gerwen and Stephen Bunting, as well as Former World Champion Michael Smith were amongst the high profile first round casualties.

The PDC Pro Tour double header in Rosmalen concludes on Tuesday with Players Championship Four taking place, with the 128 players returning to compete for a further £125,000 in prize money, with play beginning at 12:00 GMT. Play will be broadcasted across four streaming boards on PDC.TV and various bookmaker websites worldwide, with all live scores and results on tv.dartconnect.com.
