Nine Dart Star Danny Van Trijp was victorious on Saturday as he was crowned the winner of Week 12 at the MODUS Super Series, after defeating Dean Finn in the final to secure a place in Champions Week while claiming the weekly title and top prize.
Van Trijp, who entered the finale having finished 2nd in Group B on Thursday and Friday, began the night by winning just one of his two group phase matches, as he firstly defeated Dean Finn before suffering a defeat against Australian Wednesday qualifier and former champion Raymond Smith.
However, the Dutchman did progress through to the Semi Finals, where he came up against Cameron Carolissen, and from there, Van Trijp defeated Carolissen, 4-2, to book his place in the final.
In the decider, Van Trijp came up against Dean Finn for the second time on the night. Finn defeated David Davies in the last four, but, once again the Dutchman was victorious against his Irish opponent, as Van Trijp sealed a 4-0 whitewash victory.

DVT fired in a nine-dart finish along the way, becoming the first to do so at a Saturday finale, and secure the 12th and final spot at Champions Week as well as collecting the weekly winner’s prize.
The MODUS Super Series returns on Monday for the start of Champions Week, with the first of three days of Group A commencing, with the field to be announced in due course.
