The ever-expanding Amateur Darts Circuit Vault enterprise has once again produced a series of memorable and rather extraordinary moments, further cementing its reputation as one of the most vibrant and energetic grassroots darting ecosystems in the United Kingdom. Remarkably, the once mythical and almost unicorn rare nine darter now appears to have become something of a regular spectacle across these nightly tournaments scattered throughout the country.
Only a little over a week ago, down in Weymouth and not a million miles from the UK Open’s spiritual home in Minehead, local thrower Robbie Martin etched his name into the evening’s darting folklore by producing the sport’s most immaculate achievement. Competing on home soil in Dorset, the 42-year-old popped into the Wyke Regis Working Men’s Club and proceeded to deliver perfection, completing a flawless nine dart leg that left those in attendance both astonished and thoroughly entertained.

As if that were not enough, only a few days later the magic repeated itself across the Irish Sea. Over in Belfast, inside the lively surroundings of Gallagher’s Bar, Frank McDowell added his own moment of tungsten brilliance to the ever-growing catalogue of ADC highlights. The Northern Irishman produced a pristine nine darter of his own, opting for a slightly unconventional flourish by sealing the perfect leg on double eighteen to crown his moment of glory.
Such moments of darting perfection are becoming increasingly synonymous with the ADC Vault circuit, a system that continues to expand both in popularity and prestige among the amateur ranks.
Winmau Championship Darts Weekend (2) Approaches
Meanwhile, attention is gradually turning toward the upcoming Winmau Championship series, with the northern section of the schedule now only a matter of weeks away from getting underway. Middlesbrough’s impressive Sports Village complex will host the opening quartet of tournaments for the season, with two events staged per day when the action begins in Teesside on Saturday 18 April.

Down in the south of England, Bradmoor Farm has already played host to its own opening cluster of competitions earlier in the year. One of the most appealing aspects of the schedule is its clever design. Because none of the dates overlap, players with the appetite and ambition can travel between both regions and compete across the entire calendar should they wish.
In total there are twenty-four tournaments scheduled for the campaign, evenly divided between the northern and southern circuits. Each individual event carries a tidy prize of £1,000 for the winner, creating a compelling incentive for players looking to test themselves in highly competitive yet accessible environments.
With spectacular finishes, expanding participation and prize funds that continue to attract new faces, the ADC Vault shows no sign of slowing its remarkable rise within the modern darting landscape.
