Wizards Dual Again As Whitlock Leads at Super Series Darts

Former PDC Champions, and rival darts ‘Wizards’, Simon Whitlock and Colin Osborne locked wands once again as they look to join Henry Coates in Saturday’s Finale at the MODUS Super Series. 

Aden Kirk and Whitlock took the early lead on Thursday in ending Day One atop their respective groups.

In Group B, Simon Whitlock took the early lead after completing a clean sweep with four wins from four on Thursday Evening, as he recorded victories against Graham Usher, Colin Osborne, Lewis Gurney and Pete Hughes, to sit on a maximum 8 points from a possible 8 thus far.  

Osborne, a DartsWorld Ambassador, felt disappointed to have only ended the night with two point despite having darts to win two more of his games including three at double top to claim the battle of ‘The Wizards’.

Elsewhere, Lewis Gurney and Graham Usher ended the night 2^nd and 3^rd respectively on 4 points each, whilst Colin Osborne and Pete Hughes sit 4^th and 5^th on 2 points each. 

Kirk, who entered Group C having finished 4^th in Group A earlier in the week, took the early lead after completing a clean sweep with five wins from five, as he recorded victories against Asa Cansdale, Richard McKee, Giovanni Matthee, Adam Smith-Neale and Bradley Van der Velden, to sit on a maximum 10 points from a possible 10 thus far. 

Elsewhere, Richard McKee ended the day in 2^nd on 8 points, whilst Bradley Van der Velden and Asa Cansdale sit 3^rd and 4^th on 4 points each, with Adam Smith-Neale and Giovanni Matthee sitting 5^th and 6^th on 2 points each.

The MODUS Super Series continues on Friday with players continuing to battle out as they aim to join Henry Coates in Saturday’s Finale, with Kirk and Whitlock taking the early lead thus far.
