The ADC Winmau Championship South resumes this weekend with Events 9 to 12 at Bradmoor Farm in Aylesbury, and with two-thirds of the campaign now behind the darts field, the qualification picture for December’s Finals Day is starting to sharpen.
Only the top eight players on the South table will book their place, and while the leading pack has some breathing room, the scrap for the closing qualification spots promises to be the story of the weekend.

Francis holds the advantage, but Self is closing
Callum Francis arrives as the man to beat, sitting top of the standings on 677 points at an 85.28 average. It’s been a campaign that has screamed consistency, which is just what banks points across a 12-event season.
The bigger threat may come from Archie Self, who trails by 41 points but boasts the best average of anyone in the top tier at 88.16. Self has been the form player of the South leg, and a strong weekend at Bradmoor Farm could see him overhaul Francis before Finals Day comes into view.
Graham Hall isn’t far off the pace either. Third on the table with 630 points, he sits just six points behind Self and has racked up a healthy leg difference of +55, a sign he’s been going deep in events rather than scraping through.
The scrap for eighth
Further down, the picture gets considerably tighter. Alan Slater (572) and David Davies (546) occupy fourth and fifth respectively, with Dan Nicholls (543 and Lewis Cook (520) close behind in sixth and seventh.
That leaves Chas Barstow clinging to the last automatic qualification spot in eighth with 484 points, but he can’t afford to relax. Lloyd Pennell sits just outside the pack in ninth on 388, with Matt Gallett a further ten points back in tenth. Both will see this weekend as a genuine opportunity to force their way into contention, and a big result at Bradmoor Farm could yet reshuffle the bottom half of the qualifying places.
Gallett is a player of great interest. After appearing in the original SKY TV series New Kids on The Oche he had had an up and down darts career. However he is now settled in life and has had a year or two of steady improvement. Could the ADC route offer him a path back to achieving his full potential?
With Events 9 to 12 run across Saturday and Sunday, players effectively get two cracks at the ranking table in a single weekend. For those in the qualification places, it’s about protecting and solidifying leads built over the first eight events.
