Noa-Lynn van Leuven’s Difficult Debut

Play The Pro Darts Scorer

Noa-Lynn van Leuven has endured a tough opening two days at this week’s MODUS Super Series. The Dutch darts star sits bottom of Group A after collecting just four points from twelve matches (two wins and ten defeats), with a leg difference of -17.

On Monday van Leuven managed only a single victory — a 4-1 win over Jordan Brooks — while suffering heavy losses to Ziggy Schenk (1-4), Neil Duff (1-4), Andy Hamilton (3-4) and Daniel Klose (2-4). Tuesday brought little improvement as the debutant continued to struggle for consistency against the strong Group A field, leaving a mountain to climb heading into the final day of group play.

While flashes of quality have appeared (including a couple of big checkouts), van Leuven has so far been unable to convert them into the results needed to climb the table.

Meanwhile it was Daniel Klose who moved to the top of the table on Tuesday, after winning four of his five matches on Day Two and looks to secure his place in Saturday’s Finale, going into the final day of Group A on Wednesday.

Klose, who entered Tuesday’s play on 6 points from the opening day of Group A, won four matches from five to go top of the table, as he recorded victories against Noa-Lynn Van Leuven, Ziggy Schenk, Neil Duff and Jordan Brooks, with his only defeat coming against Andy Hamilton, to sit on 14 points from a possible 20 thus far.

Elsewhere, Neil Duff also ended the day on 14 points, but sits in 2nd behind Klose due to leg difference, whilst Andy Hamilton sits in 3rd on 12 points, Jordan Brooks in 4th on 10 points, Ziggy Schenk in 5th on 8 points and Noa-Lynn Van Leuven bottom on 2 points.

The MODUS Super Series continues on Wednesday with the six players returning on the final day of Group A, hoping to boost their chances of securing a place in Saturday’s Finale, with Klose leading the way thus far.

Players who finish in places 2-6 will be split into two groups for Thursday and Friday’s play with Afternoon and Evening sessions taking place on both days, as well as new players entering the fray.

Daily MSS play is streamed on Pluto TV from 9.30 AM (BST) with highlights and other coverage on the MODUS Super Series YouTube channel, or via various bookmaker’ websites worldwide.
