Daniel Klose booked his place in Saturday’s Finals Night after finishing top of Group A on leg difference at the end of a tightly contested three days in Week Five at MODUS Super Series darts.
Klose won three of his five games on Wednesday, including a 4-1 win over Andy Hamilton late in the session. The German and Neil Duff both finished on 20 points from 15 matches. Klose’s impressive (+20) leg difference proved decisive against Duff’s (+11), sending him straight through as the first qualifier of the week.
The German’s only defeats on the final day came against Duff and Ziggy Schenk. He posted the group’s highest average at 93.25. Duff also took three wins from five on the last day and remained in the hunt until the closing matches.
Schenk produced the standout individual session, winning all five of his games — including a 4-3 victory over Duff — to climb to third on 18 points. Hamilton ended fourth on 14 points. Jordan Brooks finished fifth after a winless Wednesday.

The days standout moment cam when Debutant Noa-Lynn van Leuven struck a 9-darter against Group winner Klose. The Dutch thrower also improved on the final day with three wins, including a 4-2 success against Duff, but finished sixth.
Duff and Schenk drop into Group B, which starts on Thursday evening. Hamilton, Brooks and van Leuven move to Group C, beginning Thursday afternoon. Those groups will decide the remaining five places for Saturday’s Finals Night in Portsmouth.
